The bride-to-be, Shweta, shares, “Evan always wanted me to propose to him, but he managed to beat me to it.” During a surprise trip to Istanbul, under the bridge where the ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ song 'Saiyara' was filmed, Evan knelt down and handed her his thesis acknowledgment section. Initially puzzled not to see her name on the page, Shweta was then asked to fold it, revealing a hidden message where the first letter of each line spelled out, “Will you marry me?”

Their love for Bollywood added a unique touch to their story. Evan, knowing Shweta’s love for the movies, chose Switzerland for their pre-wedding photoshoot. Shweta recalls, “It reminded us of our first trip in 2015 when Evan surprised me with a visit to the DDLJ bridge, tucked away in the charming village of Saanen. For our shoot, we picked the picturesque city of Olten, known for its classic European bridges and cobblestone streets.”
